  • Construction Slowdown

    11/26/2009 4:55:00 PM

The quality of available construction personnel is better now than it has been in recent years. This smaller pool of better  trained and experienced labor force should benefit the entire construction industry. Too often during times of major expansion of the construction industry that are caused by construction booms or major calamities (hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, fires, etc.) there are major influxes of unqualified and under-qualified tradesmen to the affection regions.

We are now seeing more claims against architects and engineers for:  construction defects, project delays, excessive change orders and excessive RFI's.

As a General Contractor consultant, we are able to provide a more accurate understanding of the workings of a construction project than any other type of consultant or expert.

The slowdown in construction projects has created different types of work for Salisbury Construction Service.  The different parties in the construction process are currently more focused on making sure that their construction projects are built according to the contract than they are in just getting their projects completed.

Testimonial

I am a senior partner in the Law Firm of Moody, Jones and Montefusco, P.A. For many years both myself and the other partners in my law firm have utilized the services of G. Robert Salisbury III as a consultant and expert witness in construction law cases. We have also referred Mr. Salisbury to numerous clients of ours to be used as a construction consultant.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the excellent work you performed in remodeling the Parks and Recreation building at Tequesta Trace Park.
